Ronnie Thompson Funeral Directors is an independent, family-run business based in Lisburn. For over 50 years it has provided high quality funeral services to local families.
The business was first established by Ronnie Thompson and his brothers, Campbell and Jim, at 16 Longstone Street. It quickly prospered and in 1996, Ronnie and his wife Jeane opened a purpose-built funeral home at 20 Ballinderry Road, which remains home to the business today.
Over the years, the business continued to develop and so Ronnie and Jeane decided to look for someone within the profession who shared their ethos for superior care for the bereaved families we serve. Therefore in 2007, with Jeane retiring and Ronnie continuing to actively follow the company’s development, Bill Reid and his wife Anne, owners of Douglas Funeral Directors in Ballynahinch, purchased shares in the business and came on board.
Ronnie Thompson Funeral Directors operates as one big family, striving to maintain the highest standards of professionalism and care. The staff are expertly trained and are committed to providing a sympathetic and compassionate service at all times. Never wanting to become complacent, the family team also ensures it keeps abreast of changes within the profession, enabling the business to maintain the vital and trusted role it holds within the community.
As a member of the National Association of Funeral Directors, Ronnie Thompson Funeral Directors adheres to a recognised industry Code of Practice. This ensures that each and every funeral service is carried out to the highest professional standards, for your peace of mind.
You can buy a plan for yourself or on behalf of someone else. The funeral plans offered are designed to cover the funeral director's own costs. As long as they carry out the funeral and the requirements don't change, neither you nor your family will be asked to pay a penny more for these costs, regardless of when the plan is needed or what happens to costs in the meantime.
The plans can also include a contribution towards any third party costs (also known as disbursements), such as burial or cremation costs. Please refer to the Key Features Document and Terms and Conditions for more information.
